PMR Base Stations

By combining dds and pll techniques, synthesisers can now offer overall performance figures previously only available as single feature optimisations, yet free from the spurious problems that dogged so many multi-loop designs.

Eastern analog and rf single loop synthesiser designs offer the following mutually consistant features:

• High channel change speeds
• Well defined and repeatable analog modulation characteristics, making Quasi-sync systems easy to set up and maintain
• Precise FSK data modulation characteristic
• Very low microphony
• Very low (and few in number) spurious outputs

Plans are underway to use this synthesiser in a price competitive systems/remote Base Station product. It is intended that this will support certain industry standard control protocols, as well as a low cost proprietry DTMF system.
